the veneration of league mechanics always gives me a little chuckle. this game is 90% game sense and maybe 10% mechanics. whereas there are games that are 50 50, even 90-10 in the other direction. think any shooter. try playing starcraft with 100 apm. you will not be able to do enough to function at 10 minutes into the game against a strong macro opponent with 250 apm. against a pro level opponent with 350 apm the game will be over. he will have 2x the army and probably be up 1-2 bases depending on the matchup. you lose based purely on mechanics before the fight even starts. he can attack move his army into your base and win because he made 2x the units by having 2x the apm / mechanical skill. guy flashes in with ezreal and kills a dude with a sliver of health under tower and he's jesus all of a sudden LUL. that's maybe 5-10 actions and it's not all that fast or requiring all that much precision. ezreal is a very easy champion and you can learn his range and timings in an hour or two on a practice dummy. what is impressive with high level league players is the macro. this game is complicated and by 20 mins you have hundreds of variables to consider. getting 10 CS per minute takes years of knowledge and game sense in terms of prio, wave clear, matchups, cooldowns, objectives, jungle pathing, etc, and then you have maybe 10% of it being mechanics and actually hitting your cs and your autos, which is not as hard as it's made out to be in this video.
